This Skillet S’mores is recipe is a great alternative to S’mores if you want to bring the outdoors in! Or if you are serving a big crowd! MMmmmmm.
Have you seen this S’more dip out there?? As soon as I saw it I wanted to try it! I actually bought this skillet just so I could make this recipe. I know, it was a little impulsive. But I figured there would be other uses for a skillet in my future, so it was totally worth it!
I would just like to let you all know that this is a delicious recipe and you should try it. Stat!
My whole family thought it was so cool how the chocolate chips retained some of their shape when you dipped into the S’mores, but then when you took a bite, it was melted chocolate and ooey gooey marshmallow. Oh boy!
So here’s the recipe:
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1½-2 cups chocolate chips
- jumbo marshmallows cut in half
- graham crackers for dipping
- Preheat oven to 450 with the skillet inside. You want to get it heated up so that it will melt those chocolate chips evenly.
- Carefully pull your skillet out, since it will be very hot make sure you are extra careful.
- Place butter in the skillet and let it melt and cover the whole surface of the skillet. Place a layer of chocolate chips in. Spread them out evenly.
- Put marshmallows on top. Cut side down if you want it to be extra pretty. Bake until marshmallows are toasted... about 5 minutes.
- Let sit and then scoop the chocolate and marshmallow combo up with a graham cracker.
The skillet may still be hot when dipping, so continue to be careful scooping! Especially if you’re sharing with kids!
