A couple weeks ago I had an incredible opportunity to test a Peplum Dress Pattern for Abby from Sew Much Ado. I have actually made several of Abby’s patterns before (including these adorable dolls) and I love how amazingly detailed her directions are. I love her pictures and all the details and tips she includes to make sewing a positive experience.
If you love this dress, you should definitely go check out her pattern!
We actually looked for quite a while to find the fabric for this pattern. We don’t have many fabric stores in our area and had to drive 45 minutes to finally get to a JoAnn’s with some decent fabric options. Thank heavens we were able to find something that was cute and fairly easy to sew with!
I have been sewing off and on for over 10 years, but I still consider myself a beginner. This was actually my first time sewing with a knit fabric and I was scared out of my mind at first! I wanted the dress to be perfect… I had high expectations! And thanks to Abby’s tips on how to sew with knits I was able to sew the perfect dress!
The dress turned out absolutely adorable and fits Lanae so well. Plus, it seems like it is so comfortable, too!
Check out the bracelets we made to match… This was my first attempt at jewelry and it turned out even better than I could have imagined!
