I love our little I’m Thankful For station. It’s set up in our front room so I see it every time I walk down the stairs.
Each member of the family has a little Thankful Pocket and every night after dinner we sit down, choose something specific that we’re thankful for and put it in our pocket. On Thanksgiving, we’ll be able to look back and read those things.
Now Lanae’s and Owen’s won’t be a surprise… since they’ll need help writing theirs. It’s been so fun to hear the kinds of things they are thankful for.
The first night Owen said “Heavenly Father” and the second night he wanted to say the same thing. But I asked him to think of something different and he said “squares.” We had a lesson on shapes that day. Oh… too cute! It’s the little things that we need to be thankful for. Like squares.
It will be fun to keep some of our slips secret so that we can share them on Thanksgiving! I’m excited to write some special things specifically for Scott that I’m thankful for. He is such a good husband and father!
I love the extra little motivation that Thanksgiving gives me to notice those little things. There aren’t even enough words for me to be able to express how grateful I am for him.
This packet includes several colors of pockets and two different sizes of slips in varying colors. As well as an 8×10 poster to set up with your I’m Thankful For station!
