I have to confess on this special holiday… that I am totally not a fan of Halloween. Honestly, between morning sickness and exhaustion, I have been even less motivated to do anything fun or crafty for Halloween. So… that’s why posts have kind of been few and far between for the last 2 months.
Hopefully the morning sickness will let up soon so I can get back to my somewhat crafty, creative and motivated self. Instead, of the tired, lazy mom I’ve been lately. Please tell me I’m not the only one out there feeling this way!
Luckily, I have an amazing mother who knows how much I don’t love Halloween and spending money on things that my kids will wear only once. She sent the kids some simple and cute Halloween costumes for this year. My mom and dad both teach at Weber State University… so that explains why Weber 🙂
I never thought I would have a little “cheerleader” because that just wasn’t me. However, Lanae has truly been one of my biggest personal cheerleaders the last two months while I’ve been super sick. So I thought that this costume was actually quite fitting.
After she put it on, it reminded me of all the times when she has come up and given me a hug lately and asked me if I’m still sick because of the baby growing in my tummy.
Owen’s costume is super adorable too. I know he is definitely my number 1 fan! Besides my husband, of course.
So grateful for these kids and their tremendous amount of love and patience with me.
We did a little trunk-or-treating. And that’s it! That’s the extent of our Halloween celebrations… We will probably pop some popcorn and hunker down and watch a movie tonight!
I hope your Halloween is a little more fun and spooky than ours!!
Happy Halloween!

They are so adorable! Those costumes are perfect, and even better that you didn’t have to make or buy them yourself! I can’t believe how big Owen is getting, they are both so precious.

Thanks Abby! I thought they were perfect, too! And so glad I didn’t have to even think about it at all!

They are so cute and this was such a sweet post. Your kids are amazing and they are so lucky to have you. And I love that your parents sent you costumes so you didn’t even have to think about it. Your halloween sounds perfect. I kinda wish I could ditch trick or treating and just hunker down with some popcorn. Miss you guys!

Oh Maren! Thank you so much! I needed to hear that and I’m glad someone thinks that me being a miserable parent is kind of nice… 😉 My mom is great! Hope you guys enjoy trick-or-treating and have a Happy Halloween!
