This time of year is filled with sweets and goodies and all kinds of comfort food! I love all the delicious goodies, but I just need something healthy to balance it all out! This Chocolate Cherry Smoothie does the trick.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I love this smoothie because it’s packed with a whole serving of fruits and veggies and gives you all the energy you need to start the day!
The cherries and bananas make it sweet enough without any added sugar, which is a nice break from all the sweets.
And its festive too with a pinch of cinnamon!
I’m hoping to have more of these in the coming weeks to help get back on track. I feel like I’ve been in a sugar coma all month with all the cookies and other treats we’ve been indulging in this month!
- 2 cups spinach packed fresh
- 2 cups almond milk, unsweetened
- 2 cups cherries, pitted
- 2 bananas
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 3 tbs cocoa powder
- Blend the almond milk and spinach first until there are no chunks.
- Add the rest of your ingredients and blend until smooth!
