I was so happy when I saw that O would fall around Christmas time and we could learn more about ornaments…
…and even make some of our own ornaments to decorate.
Scott and I wanted to start a tradition this year of making special ornaments to help us remember each year!
Plus, we had a really fun ornament craft that we wanted to try out with some friends this year.
So this was really such a fun topic to teach about around Christmas time!
The first kind of ornaments we made were these beautiful melted crayon ornaments. Seriously. They are gorgeous!! And so fun…
You definitely want to try out these beautiful Melted Crayon Ornaments.
Lanae helped me pick out all the colors for each ornament. And she went crazy admiring all the beautiful ornaments when they were finished.
She did such a good job being careful with them and putting them on the tree!
The second set of ornaments we made were our Snow Globe Memory Ornaments. They turned out amazing!
This was the first lesson that Owen was really a big part of! He was right there helping us the whole time. And he was so cute admiring his little ornament once it was made!
I love that we will have them for a very long time and can look back at our first year of Christmas at home and have something to remind us a little what life was like!
There are a million other things that O could be for… but this year was so special because we were able to make some truly beautiful ornaments!
And we made these little Popcorn Ornaments at the last minute. Mostly because I was too lazy to string a whole garland.
