How powerful are the words that you see everyday?
We have started posting inspirational scriptures on our fridge and bathroom mirror every week for the past couple of months and I’ve noticed that it makes such an incredible difference in my day.
When I see those scriptures, my mind will snap into focus and the scattered thoughts that I have will fade a little as I’m reminded what is really important. That focus helps me tackle my to-do list with renewed energy! It’s crazy how much power seeing those words has in my life.
Scott and I put together this simple wooden art display for inspirational printables. It’s so pretty and it has the same purpose as those inspirational scriptures! I feel so much happier and brighter when I see this pretty display all decked out with my favorite holiday hymn. Whenever I see it, I can’t help but burst into song!
I can’t wait to find some new inspiration for it every month!!
It’s so simple to make, so you can easily make your own. All you need is a couple pieces of wood, some screws and some spray paint!
We just used up some scrap plywood leftover from making our bedframe. Our display piece is 9 inches by 14 inches. I wanted to be able to fit 8 x 10 prints on it and have a little extra room at the bottom for a pretty bow.
Creating the stand was easy. We cut two pieces. The first was 3/4 inch by 5 inches and the second was 2 1/2 inches by 5 inches. We attached the first piece to the back horizontally about 2 inches from the bottom with three screws. Then we attached the second piece to the bottom of the first piece with two more screws to create a stand for the display to lean back on.
The I sprayed it down with some gold spray paint. I was definitely feeling gold for this time of year and I think it will coordinate with almost anything we want to display. Plus, it adds a lot of warmth and color to our house year round!
This printable is from Lil’luna, isn’t it so gorgeous?
