If you are looking for a light, creamy, delicious frosting… You’ve come to the right place!
I probably shouldn’t admit this, but I make this “frosting” all the time just to have in the fridge so I can spread it over my muffins, french toast, pancakes and waffles.
This frosting also makes any cake absolutely delicious. My favorite way to use cream cheese frosting is to top Carrot Cake. Growing up, carrot cake was our traditional birthday cake. You definitely should check out the cake I made for Owen’s birthday!
Last week, Lanae earned a cookie party by filling up her Gem Jar! She wanted to invite some friends over for a play date and make cookies.
So I whipped up this batch of cream cheese frosting and let the fun begin. We had such a blast decorating cookies and everyone loved this frosting! So I figured I ought to put it up on the blog ASAP!
- 1 3-ounce package cream cheese
- ¼ cup margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups powder sugar
- In a mixer bowl beat together cream cheese, margarine, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add powder sugar, beating until smooth.
What else could you put this delicious frosting on??

Oh man, yum! I love cream cheese frosting probably more than any other frosting. Buttercream is usually not my deal, royal icing is okay, but give me some cream cheese frosting and I am happy! Thanks for sharing!
